Trying to find how to replace non led drl bulb and what is the part number/bulb type

There are other threads with photos, but all you have to do is open the hood and look at the inside edge of the headlight cluster. There is a round cover(about 1.5" diameter) you can take off and get to the drl bulb very easily. It is a common bulb available at any autoparts store.

It uses regular 1156 bulb. This is the bulb with a single contact on the bottom.

and since you are already replacing it, maybe you like upgrading it to an LED. Below is a link for 1156 LED with CANBUS so no bulb error.

I bought some of those CANBUS LEDs. Still threw up error codes. The CANBUS error-eliminating thing seems to be a load of rubbish.

FWIW, if you have VCDS you can set the coding to LED DRLs and they'll stop throwing errors.
