have a 2018 Q7. Lately been having issues with the signal light flashes once and then shuts off. I have to shut the car off and start back up for it to work normal. Sometimes it does it on both sides but mainly left. Any thoughts?

What is "the signal light" Direction lights you mean? If that happens you have unconsciously flipped the turn level up or down, switching on the direction lights to be on when the car is shut off.

Yes, the turn signal. And no I do not accidentally flip the lever up or down. My thread says when I signal for a turn, it flashes once and then thats it. I have to shut the car off and then start for it to work normal.

I'd suggest you have someone checking the lights when you signal left and right. Are all lights working? Maybe there is a shortcut in one of the LEDs, causing your system to malfunction?
Also, read the fault codes!
