The Conti SUV tires fitted to our '15 Q5 would also meet these criteria, Geng.

Speed rating
From past bad experience with Z-rated tires, I know that higher speed rating often means harder tire compound and bumpier ride.
Any thoughts?

At the rate that Q7s go through tires and seem to not always hold an alignment (Gee, I wonder if the two are related?), I would prefer to have a non-directional tire so that standard tire rotations are an option.
So I'm looking at the Firestones in that size on Tirerack as all indications are they are non-directional, plus treadwear rating is similar and it seems to have pretty good reviews. I just don't think of Firestone as being a quality brand, but they are owned by Bridgestone so there is probably less to worry about there from a design and quality standpoint.

The new Verde Plus have a 65,000 treadwear warranty...my Parada Spec-x set lasted 25k. The Verde should last longer, and if not...I get a prorated warranty as long as I rotate as recommended, and don't have any tire repairs. I never did like how the Yokos worked in light snow, and the lack of rim protection was a negative as well, but they were quiet.
