I know the new one is around 700$ because it comes with the linkage and yes they tend to fail shorthly after. Look up on Rockauto, i know they have remanufacturedmotors for the q7 now.

I'm in the process of trying to get the cowl off. I had an aftermarket windscreen put in a year or so back, and apparently they overglued... I'm afraid I'm going to crack the windscreen while attempting to remove the cowl.
This is becoming a pain.
Linkage seems to run wonderfully, even with the motor attached, although there is a spot in the middle where it gives much less resistance. I'm assuming this is a bad motor.
Does anyone know of where I might find a motor for less than $300? I was hoping this simple motor wouldn't be THAT expensive.

I have used this article 2007-10 Audi Q7 | Glass Magazine the rest is pretty easy, just take your time.

Found one in a junkyard in Utah for $125.
Works like a charm..
oh, and if you're troubleshooting... the wipers will NOT work with the hood open... FYI..

No, it isn't going to fix itself.
No, it can't be fixed with software.
This is a dirty hands job.
