winter tires

...just purchased a net set of 18" wheel for winter tyres (235/60 R18).
Do you have a recommendation based on your experience or reading?

yes, nokians. they are great, quiet, and very smooth with studs.

We had Nokians on our Touareg which we liked very much. Last winter, we had Pirelli Scorpion

& Ice. The Pirellis probably fell behind slightly in the snow gripping area but was pretty good overall. They were also quite a bit cheaper than the Nokians (almost $60/tire cheaper). I'm not sure which way I'd go if I had to do it again, to be honest.
