19" vs 20" Tires - Run Flat All Season replacement options?
Hi All, I'm about to order '17 Q7 Premium Plus.. but not very excited about the no spare and run flat tire thing, but am accepting that as that's were everything seems to be heading.
I'm deliberating between the sticking with the standard 19" wheels vs opting for the 20". Living in the Northeast in a hilly area good all season's decent in snow are important, so out of curiosity I poked around Tire Rack to determine whats out there. I found there are barely any run flat options for the Q7 in 20" but several for the 19", raising an obvious concern.
I was wondering what others might have discovered in this regard.. My thinking at this point is to stick with 19" and be happier with future tire options?
Thanks!

I am ordering a Prestige and getting the Titanium Black Optic package, which includes:
21" Audi Sport 5-twin-spoke RS design Titanium wheels with 285/40 summer performance tires
I live in Colorado and I am looking at a size smaller (20") winter wheel and tire package from Tire Rack. I did the same thing with my 2013 A6 3.0T and had the best traction and handling in any vehicle I have ever owned. The only drawback was ground clearance, which will not be an issue with my Q7.
I installed the winter wheels and tires the week of Thanksgiving and put the summer wheels and tires back on after Easter. The mileage is split up on both sets, yet I drove more on the summer set, but ultimately they both last longer.
I do not like run flats as they are more expensive for the quality of tire ,they are noisier, and as you mentioned there are fewer choices.
