2017 Steering wheel buttons not working (sort of)
I have a bit of an odd issue here. A few weeks ago I turned the wheel heater on but the dash message flashed so quickly that I couldn't tell if it was on or off. So I pressed it again quickly and no message showed. I then noticed that the skip track/phone/heated wheel buttons were all all not working. All other buttons work as they should.
A few days ago, after I first started the car, I hit the heater button just to see if it would come on - and it did. Then after driving for 5 minutes none of the buttons worked (L side and R side buttons and paddle shifters). All buttons were still illuminated. After a few more minutes of driving, things went back to previous (skip track/phone/heated wheel buttons not working, but all others function as normal and all are illuminated). Now my heated wheel is stuck on the ON setting (which it's such a bad thing right now as it's winter here).
Is there anything that I can do to further troubleshoot? Any similar experiences or recommendations?

I should also add, fuses look OK and no codes came up when scanned. Could I have somehow glitched the MMI when I originally quickly pressed the heater button? Should I try to reinstall the MMI? Or could there be a lose connection somewhere?

Probably the buttons lose contact in the plug in the steering wheel. You would have to unfasten the airbag and check the plug connections.
