2018 vs 2019 Q7 differences?
Hi all,
My wife's XC90 just went back on lease and need to decide a replacement asap. We've had a hard time deciding on a luxury class replacement because the cars are not available with third row on lots yet (2019 X5, 2020gle), due for a redesign (gls, Yukon, Tahoe, Escalade, etc), or are too new to discount (X7).
We both like the Q7 but we're hesitant to move because it'll be getting a facelift. We just can't wait anymore and have to pull the trigger.
Are there any differences between the 2018 and 2019?
I would love to be able to get a 2018 3.0p+ new leftover for 15 percent off including the 2k incentive.
Thanks!
Mike

I got around 13% off a 2019 prestige. Probably could have pushed a little more too. That was in December. The savings to get a 2018 vs. 2019 weren't significant.

The park assist is nice but it is not really self parking, you still have to push gas or brake and it needs a large space. I usually use it as a scanner to find suitable spaces but then park myself.

Where are you located? If you're in Canada, you probably get a better Audi Connect experience in the 2019.

Also, you have the option to order a Audi Design Selection interior that includes a leather dashboard. From personal experience, this enhancement from unique leather color and specialty wood, really makes the 2019 Q7 special.
Also, the passenger door has seat memory buttons just like the driver's door has.

IIRC in the US they have different engines.
MY18 was using the old supercharged 3.0TFSI, the new car has finally switched to the turbocharged 3.0TFSI.

Thanks for the correction. Yet it is described as the 55 engine on the USA site, same as the Q8. And the 55 is the EA838?
But I see you are right, looking at the detailed engined specs, how strange.
OP, buy the 2018 if the price is better and you find a configuration you like. Park assist and wireless charging (have both on my cars) are useless features IMO.
