Default About to order a 2018 Prestige Q7

Audi is buying back my 2011 TDI so it’s time to buy a new one.

This is my wife's car so I’m not going too wild with it. Anything you guy’s would add or change? I’m partial to the black interior since we have two daughters. As of today I’ve negotiated 4% off msrp + Audi care included.

Here are the options I’m looking at.
2Y2Y- Glacier White Metallic
FZ - Black interior
High gloss Black/Grey Oak wood inlay
1D6 Tow Package
9WQ Rear Seat entertainment Prep Package

Our 2011’s Air conditioning hasn’t been all that great. I’m hoping the 2018 warm weather package will perform better.

Thanks in advance!

The ventilated seats help a bunch.

I would add:
- Driver assistance
- Adaptive chassis
- Cold weather package, may be good for resale value even if it's not always needed in your area

I would drop the Rear Seat entertainment Prep package - you can easily DIY.

Also, Carrara White is noticeably warmer and purer than Glacier White, and if you like both colors I'd go with the lower priced Carrara White.

I’m in Scottsdale & Orange County. So this will be a south west car. I don't think we would ever use the cold weather package.

I added the rear seat ent just for the wiring. Just incase. for the $150 add on I figure better to have than not.

Thanks for the input.

What does this do in a real world setting?

I race in a national SCCA series and am an aggressive driver. (I’ve never wreaked a street driven car, only race cars). The video I watched on this system seems like a handicap for un attentive drivers. Saving them from their Facebook updates. Am I wrong?

Not wrong at all. I could live without a lot of these features listed below, as I love to drive.

Audi adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam assist - Not needed but cool and almost self-driving
Audi active lane assist - Not needed
Audi pre sense® front - Safety feature, because **** happens
High beam assistant - A must where I live
Traffic sign recognition - Cool but ...

If you generally don't use cruise control you won't be able to take advantage of the best parts of the package imo. I use the adaptive cruise control all the time. And I like the lane assist on long freeway drives. High beam assistant is also a nice feature.

Feature I use at least twice a day is HomeLink.
