Default Audi Q8 - unveiled!

The Audi Q8 production version has been finally unveiled and retains many features from the concept model. Looks vey good. As seen in the A8, A7 and A6, the dual touch screen is the new interior format Audi is going ahead with.

Interesting the way the intake front grills are more protected then in the Q7.

Weird face... body aint bad though.

Should be interesting to see if this design language is further expanded or cut back... Not a fan of this extreme.

Wow, that's pretty bold. I'm not a fan of what looks like a huge plastic border around the grill. I'm also not quite sure why they needed the body colored appendage cutting into the side of the grill.

It’s like a bigger Q3, with an updated look. I don’t dislike it. I wish the Q7 had more of its design language. Or at least an S-Line trim (or a full out “S”). Why does the Q7 have to be so boring...

I like it, but not that color. I think the front would look less bold in a darker color. Also keep in mind that that is the likely the most optioned out version (with massaging rear seats etc.), so most will look a little more toned down on the inside. Otherwise the interior is a lot like the Q7, save for the touch screen.

I think it will work for people not looking for a 3rd row or to drive a big beast like the Q7

If you look closely it very much does. The air vents and the long diffuser, the odometer screen, the switches and steering controls, gear shifter, stalks, door pulls and switches, armrest. Pretty much everything but the touch screens

Full disclosure: I hate SUV/CUV’s, and this is just another one that will soon be clogging roads and car parks everywhere. (Sorry guys, but the rest of us can’t see around them in traffic, and they are a mega saftey hazard for someone in a low slung sports car)

I’ll give you this—It’s one of the nicer ones, but that front grill looks Subaru-ish to me.
