I just bought another set yesterday from Ebay Germany, $96.00 shipped.

Do you pop them out, or unscrew? I'm assume just a connector of some kind on the wiring? Anything easy to screw up?

Just need to pop them out using the screwdriver to unclip. I think I also used the screwdriver to unclip the connector. No screws or anything complicated.

^^^ I agree, except I didn't need a screwdriver to unclip the connector, push with your finger worked for me. One person screwed up and broke the puddle light that is currently in there, he pried too much on the wrong side and broke the lens, no big deal unless you plan on re-using them at some point.

Ok. As I just ordered my car and am many months out, since the posts are talking about Audi changing suppliers, is the anticipation that they will start carrying the rings again? Or, is there a chance if I don't buy from Germany now, I won't be able to get them.

Only news anybody has reported is that Audi is changing suppliers, this has been the same information since last July and we have yet to see the " New Suppliers" supply show up yet.

Agree! Dealer told us back in August that there will be a supplier change. Back then I still saw some US dealers selling these on ebay. I waited and waited but couldn't wait anymore. Don't want to miss out so I pulled the trigger buying from the UK seller, didn't see the German seller (would have been much cheaper).
