Nice, but aside from looks, I don't see any reason to go bigger with a BBK.

It's not like the Q7 is exactly deficient in braking performance. Audi has already put very healthy-sized rotors and calipers on the Q7 to easily overcome the tires that normally come equipped on the Q7, including the grippier summer 285 width tires on the 21" wheels. The braking performance has already been proven by several media testing to be class-leading and rivals even the short braking distances of some lighter performance sedans. I've experienced the braking to be pretty amazing for a car this size.

IMO, what little you gain in the esthetics of having bigger calipers and rotors behind the rims, will be at the expense of increased brake noise (typical of BBKs) and depending on the pads used, increased brake dust as the stock pads that come equipped with the new Q7 are extremely low dust.

But YMMV... and I can certainly understand the esthetic motivation for them. If you do it, at least have a plan for wider wheels and wider summer tires to actually make use of the added stopping power.

Yes. They look identical to the brakes on my 2013 Q5 3.0T which, AFAIK, was the first model/year to use those brakes. Great brakes. Powerful and very little dust. I really don't know why anyone would "upgrade" the brakes on the Q7. The rotors are big and the calipers look substantial.

I would upgrade, in fact I'm really considering this upgrade. The drilled big rotors are beautiful and I believe that brake efficiency will improve significantly.

Does anyone know if there is also this upgrade kit for the rear wheels?

Exactly! If you're going to spend money on a BBK, might as well go the whole hog with ceramic! No dust, no noise, less unsprung weight.

Otherwise, these other oversized cross-drilled BBKs are pointless other than for looks... and even more pointless if you live in a region that gets snow and corrosive salt spray in the winter time. They will just get ruined. I've personally ruined my share of BBKs in several other cars in the past thanks to the some harsh midwest winters. And they all get extremely noisy with age, much more so than stock brakes. Perhaps if you lived in nicer climates like SoCal it wouldn't be as much of an issue...
