Default Biggest possible tire size: 275/50R20 will fit?

Somehow I messed up and ordered Nokian Hakkapelitta R3 SUV in 275/50R20 rather than 285/45R20... don't ask me how...
They are 30.8" rather than OEM 30.1"
I haven't mounted them but by checking out front wheel area I am very worried that it is so close to that control arm (pictures from current OEM 285/45R20)
What's the biggest tire anyone had mounted, any opinions (return and pay shipping + restocking or take a risk)?

You should be fine. From a straight vertical point, you'll be 9mm closer to the control arm. Double check how much space you have on the curved portion of the control arm as the Nokian's are fat but I suspect you will have enough clearance there too.

Did these taller tires fit and run okay? I have a set for the new Q7 and like to know before I mount them on rims.
thanks,

Use this tool (many similar available). If tire are within 3% deviation - you're good to go.
