Default The Black Knight build thread

Ok guys I'm making this thread to document any mods/changes I have done to the Q. My goal is to murder it out a little and bump up the performance. I am pretty excited and I hope things come together. As she sits

Stock:
Night black
Black leather
Gray oak inlays
Black headliner
Black Optics package
Night Vision package
Adaptive Suspension
Drivers Assistant package

Cold Weather package

Here are the photos again when I picked her up.

I want to go black rims, but I really starting to like these 21's. They complement the Q well, so I might run them for a while.

After I left the dealership I went to ultimate shield down in Orange CA to get the suntek ppf installed. It came out beautiful. They did a great job. Thanks to the members here who recommended Subtle for the black. I was supposed to get optimist but because of a miscommunication on my part i will have to get it done on Washington.

I got full front, headlights, a pillar, rocker with extensions behind rear tires and roofline (front) done

They also smoked my amber reflectors

I also got the rear debagded. I will post that here shortly.

Looking forward to seeing progress... We will have to get together once I have mine and it is back from PPF up in Vancouver. Still a ways to go for me though.

Loving the smoked side markers I think that would stand out on my Florett Silver although I am smokeing the taillights and lower bumper lights with LaminX. How dark are you going to tint the windows? 35% is the darkest legal here but I'm thinking about going with 25 or 18%.

I was thinking about 20 in the front and maybe 50 or 40 on the rest in hoping for a close match. I definitely want to smoke the tails...but Im looking for a dark cherry look...kinda like a 958 cayenne gts . Don't forget to post your tails when they b are complete. Look forward to seeing them

I had a small sample of the smoked LaminX but I didn't take any pics of that. It's not the darkest LaminX but it's noticeable. I have already returned the Q7 to the dealer for the day. I will be taking delivery of it on Wednesday there was a smudge on the headliner and scratch in the paint that they need to fix. Santa 🎅🏼 is going to be good to me this year.

Not for performance, but you definitely need SQ7 pedals...
