I completely agree with you that it should come with the car, like they did for A4 in US.
But the A4 still has the dumb red turn signals in the US.

Anybody have the steps to remove taillights? Does it have popup clips inside? I don't want to break things inside, any photos would help as well. Thanks!

Whelp my blackline tails are ordered, now I just need to find a shop or person with a VCP in the Seattle, Vancouver or PDX area. Anyone have access to one? My tails are 3 weeks out.

Did you had to remove the rear lid closing button and rear lid lamp before pulling the trim out?
