I am having this issue too. My car is an A4 B9 2016. Looking for a second hand unit now. My unit has the 4M0 907 428B part number. Would it be compatible with parts from other models (eg. A5) which has the 4M0 907 428F (F instead of B at the end) part number?
Going through same issue - ODBeleven gave me a fault code for no communication on rearview cam system control module (code U104C00) and ordered 4M0-907-428-E (picture attached... apologies if it comes in huge) - I presume the E should work just the same as the D or F variants? Also have a 2017 Q7 3.0 Prem Plus with all drivers assistance features (no night vision)... plan on replacing this when it comes in later this week... fingers crossed but optimistic based on this thread!
UPDATE: got the part - changed it out - all cams totally work again! Took some time and buttoning things back up was kind of a pain but all in all not super difficult work. That box is definitely tucked away though… it’s underneath the fuse box and inside a little plastic casing so you have to move a couple things to get there - side trim, fuse box, amp

My out of warranty 2019 Q5 Technik peripheral camera only works first thing in the morning when I back out of my garage. After that, I get no response at all when I put it into reverse, or a black screen, or the picture goes on and off. I had it into the dealer who found fault code B1102F0, rear view camera LVDS line no signal sporadic. But, they do not know if the problem is in the camera module, the rear camera or the wiring. This one hour of work cost me $186 and no reliable cameras which is a safety concern. The dealer suggested running wires to the cameras and driving it to see if that would help find the problem. Sounds like a high school science project at my expense with no guarantee of success. Has anybody had this same problem and found the source? Even in a different Audi model as long as it is before the big 2021 camera recall.
