1) unplug your phone from carplay
2) lunch audi nav and setup any destination and save it or leave on last address. I put my home address. Start nav to head to destination. it will display both dash n cockpit.
3) lunch your nav on phone, then plug it in. Cockpit will automatically switch to compass mode again but don’t worry about those little audi tantrums.
4) now you have your phone plugged in and your wave, google, or apple maps running on the dash correct?
5) simply click on the audi nav/map button, switch it from carplay to audi nav and lunch your saved or last address. That will appear on the cockpit and dash. Then switch back to carplay. Your cockpit will maintain audi nav running while your dash will maintain carplay nav.

However, when you arrive at your final destination on your carplay, it will switch back to compass on the cockpit. Meaning for every new address you enter on your carplay, for it to display on both screens without unplugging your phone, you just need to switch to audi nav and start a destination then switch back to carplay using only the nav/map button.
