Charge your battery

Charge your battery
Sorry, but I will start by saying that I am a maintenance freak.
Night two and I put my battery on a charger at 2amps to top it off. Car batteries sit for a long time before they are actually used after they are manufactured. Even after our Q7's are made, it could be three weeks before we actually drive it.
Sure enough my charger showed low charge and that was after a 150 mile drive.
8 hours on the charger still never got it charged. Tonight it will go back on the charger.
Doesn't completely surprise me as batteries I have replaced take about 12 hours to fully charge.

I would suggest a battery maintainer over a battery charger. I have been doing this for years on my high draw low use vehicles and I went 6 years on a C6 Corvette battery which typically only lasts 4 years and when I sold the car the battery was still fine. I use a Ctek 3300 but there are newer models out there as well.

I got 346 miles on the car. Charger shows low which is below 50%.
Dealers just don't have time to fully charge the batteries before delivery.
Every month I put my cars on a charger at 2amps. Usually takes about 5 hours to top them off.
