Default Console trim removal

Does anybody know how to remove the panel on the console that houses the shifter and MMI control? I'm changing the layered wood trim to SQ7 Carbon Fiber.
The doors were a snap (literally), but the dash and shifter are a little trickier.

Thanks,
Tom

Oh. You gotta post the picture after installation! I've been looking at the Carbon Fiber trim pieces that are selling on Ebay for the longest time.

There are total of 12 possible options for Q7 inside panel trims, none of them is Carbon fiber.
For SQ7 there are 7 options for inside panels, one of them is Carbon fiber, all others are like on Q7.

Yes, it is the Atlas Carbon that is used in the SQ7. However, on the SQ7, the pair it with the bright aluminum trim. The US versions all come with piano black and wood trim. Combining the piano black with the carbon fiber looks amazing. I'll post pix when it is done.

Please!! First I wasn't really ready to test the ebay vendor on such a high price item. Second, I wasn't sure what it will look like with piano black. Cannot wait for the photos!

As promised, here are some pix. The photos don't do it justice. Even though the layered wood looks really great, (happy accident... more on that in a sec) I really love the Carbon Fiber.

As far as the ebay vendor, if it is factory parts, that is a really good deal. When I ordered my Q7, I ordered it with the grey walnut however the dealership screwed up and ordered the layered wood by mistake. They offered to swap out the trim or credit me back the cost of the trim and labor. The cost for the grey wood trim without labor was about $1600-1700 (woof).

The swap was super easy with a little patience.

And now, some photos...Sorry for the sideways pic

I tried to, but because the model is not available in the US or Canada, they could not order the parts (stupid, I know).
I have a buddy in Europe who works for a VW/Audi dealership.
