I parked it in an airport garage for a out-of-town vacation. After I drove home from airport, I noticed that there is hole on the right side of my front bumper. I am pretty sure it was always covered when I parked it in the garage, so I am not sure whats in there underneath and whether it was someone stolen a part of my 2017 q7 or just like the cover fell off. What is the part being stole and how expensive to replace?


BTW, the left side is a whole piece, only the right side has something covered.

Tow hook screws in there. Cover probably feel off.

thats where the dashcam becomes handy.

Its doesn't just fall off (unless it does in the Q7). It is usually attached to the bumper by a plastic strip, even when taken off to put in a tow hook

Depending on how long they were away, a dashcam running 24x7 would have killed the battery.

It's a tow bracket cover missing (sometimes called tow eye cap). They run at ~$45 - part 807 241.

It could be that yours was not stolen, but damaged/broke while doing touch-less car wash as those water blusters are quite powerful...
