borescope visual. 107000. Audi 3.0 issues.

closer look at piston.

burned broken exhaust valve

piston piece missing ring visable.

same look at exhaust. 3 cylinder.
Light tension piston rings and direct injection issues along w long interval oil changes has caused many issues.
Engine toast here.
I have another 2017 w 106000 on it. Trying engine oil flush. bg44k clean up of injectors and 2 oil changes of 5w30 valvoline Restore and protect at 5000 miles. Then switch back to Motul 0w40 clean oil. Dont buy the lie. These 3.0 have REAL issues.

Some CREC’s are over 400,000KM and climbing. A lot of the engine lifespan topic depends on variables such as driving style, climate, fuel quality and how the machine has been cared for since purchased new.

If you follow the automotive industry then you realize the ENTIRE INDUSTRY has real issues. Nearly every brand has used low tension rings and direct injection for years as tools to meet ever increasing Gov’t Mandates for improved fuel economy. Two simple ways to avoid these issues is buy new and trade in once the warranty is up or go electric.
