Default First audi!

Ok I couldn't resist and pulled the trigger on a new q7 that was on the lot...I had to negotiate over the phone for a week.. Premium with Mmi navigation...glacier white metallic with brown interior.

I will be picking it up tomorrow and trading in my 2013 x5.I think I got a great deal..just 500 below invoice plus tax and $499 fee! I don't think i will be able to sleep tonight!

Congrats! $500 below invoice is an excellent deal, I wish they did that in the Bay Area. May I ask what the $499 fee is? It seems like most of the users on the east coast have this expensive fee.

Thanks I just have to drive 60 miles to pick it up. Dealers around me(va) would not budge on msrp..$499 is something they call a dealer processing fee! It's a scam but seems to be there forever.

Well, the dealers do have some work to do to get the car ready for delivery: unwrap it, clean it, state inspections if required, etc. $499 seems excessive. My dealer (Western PA) charges $200 for this, which I think is still a bit much, but more reasonable.

Could you please post what part of the country you are in? Congrats on your deal!

Congrats - This will also be my first Audi. I was 100% locked into a new X5 and had never considered the Q7 until I started reading the press and than drove one for a weekend. Good luck and send pics

In California, I believe most of the dealers charge $80~$100 for this. For the luxury car dealers I have dealt with, they just charged $80, such as MB, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Audi.

Doc fees vary by state and are often not negotiable. Some states limit these fees. Unfortunately Florida does not and my dealer charges something like $500 which is ridiculous but similar to others in area. With the car coming in next week, I called last week to see if we could get Audicare included and his response was that if we wanted to deviate from our original agreement, they would be happy to refund our deposit.
