Front Tires feathering
I have about 2,200 miles on our Q7 and I noticed that the front tires are starting to "feather" on the outer most tread. I've read that it is caused by too much positive camber. Anyone else see this issue? Would the dealer cover this under warranty?

I have the same problem as well. When I bought my cpo 2017 Q7 with the 20in wheels I noticed the rear wheels were super cut up on the outer edges so they replaced those 2 tires as part of the deal. The fronts looked fine. Driven the car 7k miles and now the fronts now have the same problems! Outer edges look chewed up and missing parts of the tire rubber. When I was shopping for my Q7 I went to another dealer w a used Q7 and it had the same problems with all 4 tires. All vehicles have the Goodyear tires. So wtf is happening to the these tires. I checked the air pressure and they were at 32psi.. Manual says 32psi. Took a pic of the tires but can't get it to post on here.

Take your Q7 to your dealer and have them do a wheel alignment. It just has 2200 miles on it and it is essentially new. They'll do it under warranty.

I already mentioned this issue on another thread. Members with the air suspension don't seem to have this issue. Definitely a defect from factory. Feathering = bad alignment. Had mine alignment 8 times already with no resolution. Already working on getting this issue resolved with AoA. Suggest you do the same.

I have the air suspension with 1500 miles and the car is going in next week because of feathering on the front tires. Thought this was normally a problem with the toe settings.

Front and rear toe and rear camber adjusted. This changed the thrust angle of the car so radar sensors and cameras readjusted too. Fingers crossed.

Took my car in today to the dealer and they said they are going to perform an alignment and rotate the front tires to the rear. They stated that the front wheel likely have too much positive camber from the factory and the tires should not be feathering.
