I'm trying to negotiate the best price with my dealer for a custom order 2018 Q7.
Is there anyone out there who was able to negotiate more than 4% off the MSRP?
I'm located in San Francisco, so I'm not sure how much location has to do with the deals around this area, but I'm wondering.
Thanks!

Off topic...I am debating between the Q7 and XC90, so curious to know if you had any issues with the xc90 that u r considering the trade only after 26K miles. Thanks!

The Volvo is not a bad car and has a lot of great features and right now you can get a fully loaded T8 for the price of a fully loaded Q7 + you get the tax credits on the Volvo so it's a pretty good value. I for sure would not be comfortable owing the XC90 out of warranty period though. And the Volvo vs. Audi dealership experience (service wise) gap is huge.
One more point, if I sell the Volvo now I won't have to buy new tires or renew the registration which is about $2K so the timing works out pretty well.

We did have some issues but wasn't terrible. About what I expected for a major overhaul on a 1st year vehicle. I will say the software has gotten better and has eliminated a lot of the early gremlins. By the time the Audi comes in it will be about 2 years with the Volvo and 30,000 miles. To be honest I just want two Audi' s in my garage

There are a few owner's issues brought up on the XC90 but then again all forums seem to have their gripers, and rightfully so.

My brother owns a Volvo, and let my neighbors swedes forgive, but their "solutions" especially for electronics, are so "short-sighted" and strange, that you will never see something like that on German cars.
I don't say that German cars are error free, but they seems to be undergone much more testing.
