You aren't required to get Front License Plates in California? I'm jealous.

Yes, front plates are required here in CA, just many of us do not bother and take the risk . Been going plateless upfront since taking delivery little over a year ago and never an issue. Sherif station right near my house so I am around patrols all the time, none have ever said a word. I do carry my front plate in the car under cargo mat in back just in case.

I'm impressed the dealer would order you one minus the bracket. Must be more commonplace that I would assume.

My guess is most dealers would not, I happened to find mine next door in Nevada where plates are not required.

I don't know where does juventuss come from, for me in California, it does come with the Front License Plate which I hope not.

I got mine from Audi South Coast in Costa Mesa, CA. When we placed the order for the car, I told the dealer to make sure the front license place bracket was not installed. They gave me the bracket and screws when I picked the car up.

Front plate is required. If you get pulled over and the cop sees it, you will get a "Fix-It" ticket.

The law is here:
https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f...ectionNum=5200

The DMV also put a bold text at the bottom of this page:
https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/de...s/howto/htvr11

Just keep the plate in the car. Tell the cop you didn't have it on because it ruins the look of the car, but then ask the cop if you can take 30 seconds to cable tie it on now. Mostly the cop wants to know that it is accounted for and not on another car.
