LED Reverse Lights
#41
I have ordered and installed both of the below "bulbs" for the reverse lights in my 2018 Q7. They have both worked fine WITHOUT any error codes. The first one physically looks identical to the expensive ones advertised here on the Audiworld site. It may be slightly brighter than the second one.

I tried them as well...got the error message. lights work look great...but the error message is annoying. so these will go in the trash...unless someone on here wants them. just PM me.

Just installed these tonight: No error codes. Definitely brighter than the original and more of a white light compared to the yellowish tone of the original (noticeable with one replaced and one original). Initial test post-instal did not have any error codes pop up for me (2018 Q7 Prestige).
Tip: After loosening the screw (does not remove fully), the taillight assembly did not seem like it wanted to budge easily. I banged on the bumper adjacent to and all the way around the lamp assembly with my fist. That loosened it up and it came out easily. There is a hook at the far end that tabs into the car, but it naturally swings out from the center of the bumper area towards the corner, releasing the hook.

Sorry, I intended to, but failed. Reversing out of my driveway this morning in the dark, I can honestly say that I had better visibility through the rearview camera system than with the original light bulbs. Not sure I would have spent $50 on them, but definitely worth the $14 Amazon price!

Found a video of the reverse light install in case anyone is curious.

Has anyone noticed it looks like the indicator lights that blink in the same housing when you lock/unlock the car are halogen.
Has anyone found an LED bulb for these as well?
