Lowest auto loan rates
I searched the forums and could not come up with anything recent pertaining to this topic.
We take delivery of our Q7 prestige in the next few weeks and I am looking for the bank/credit union, etc. with the best auto loan rate.
Right now USAA is the front runner for us with 2.25%.
Looking for a 60 month term.
We are top tier with 800+ scores, putting over 50% down, plenty of disposable income and very low D/I.

We had a similar situation when we bought our Q7 in November. Almost went with USAA, then, like SYMAWD said, we mentioned our 2.25 rate to our dealer and they were able to find a better rate 1.98 with Bank of America. Good luck & Enjoy!

Lightstream (SunTrust) will beat any offered rates by 10 basis points, and for that credit profile will offered an unsecured loan...

Are you referring to their car buying? If so it won't work in this situation as we ordered our q7 back in October through a friends and family deal, but I do appreciate the suggestion.

There is a $3k takata airbag recall credit out here right now if you have a car you are trading in. I'm wondering if I can take advantage of that with other financing options (USAA in particular).
