Default New Conti Crosscontact LK sport

Just got back from having these mounted and balanced on my Q. First impression?? I am angry.
Angry because Audi chose to put on as OE the worst tires I have ever driven on...Goodyear RF.
Also angry at myself for not doing this sooner.
It literally rides like a new truck. It no longer kills you with that really hard drive. As of late it felt like I was riding on 4 rocks.
Yes it made that much of a difference.
Hopefully these wont chunk up. My Porsche guy who mounted them said if he he wasn’t the one who was rotating my tires
he would swear I was lying about rotating them.
Also have you brake fluid flushed if you haven’t done it, When he tested it my was way past it.

Looks like that tire comes as a standard version and as a "SSR" version which is run-flat. Which did you get?

....and I was just about to order my 2nd set of these - https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...cleSearch=true

but now you have me interested

"Limited sizes of the CrossContact LX Sport are available with Continental's ContiSilent Technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results."

and then some guy says:

Initial Review:

There is a felt lining in these tires that came loose on 3 of my 4 tires with my 2018 Volvo XC60 Inscription... The balance on the tire was so bad, you could not drive the car above 30 mph. What a crap tire. I'll have less than 25,000 miles on these tires before I change them out to new tires. They perform moderately, have issues that have caused me to go get my tires rebalanced 3 times (ie remove the felt and rebalance), and they wear quickly. Don't call Continental or Volvo. They are no help. Will never get Continental Tires on a vehicle again.

Audi recommends that brake fluid be changed every 2 years regardless of mileage. Wonder if that is covered under Audi Care?
