Picked up my new Q7 today.
It's a silver Premium+ with the vision package.
Here are some of my thoughts:
1) Awesome technology. The MMI **** now is more intuitive in a way that turning right means zooming in and moving the selector close-wise. On my other Audi's and all other old Audi's the **** has always been less than self intuitive.
2) This SUV is so quiet compared to my old Q7 4.2. It drives more like a car than an SUV. My old Q7 had the air suspension and this one doesn't, but it's still nice and smooth. Not sure if I will miss the air suspension.
3) Apple CarPlay is pretty cool, and only available if you plug your iphone into the usb.
4) Didn't realize the Premium+ doesn't come with the color-changing interior ambient light. Hopefully in the future someone will be able to change that using VCDS like what's been done in other Audi's.

Carplay is nice but it would be nice if there was a direct way to it short of going to the Main Menu.

Wireless CarPlay
I have a Q7 on order (expected delivery April/May), and I just want to make sure that I'll be able to use CarPlay wirelessly. Thanks!

No guarantee but it does seem like Audi and VW are already looking at it. If any car could do it would seem like the 2017 Q7 would be the one.

I don't mind plugging in so much. At least it keeps the phone charged up. I did notice that if i wait about 10 seconds after starting to plug my iphone in, CarPlay connectivity issues are basically eliminated.
