Today I drove a Q7 with the warm weather package (perforated/ventilated seats).

Every car with a leather interior that I've ever driven had a nice leather scent to it, but this vehicle had no scent whatsoever even though it was new.

I poked my head in an A6 on the lot (no perforated leather), and it smelled great.

So is this due to a different type of leather being used on the perforated leather seats?

If the leather doesn't have a nice leather smell, the vehicle might as well have vinyl.
