Default Quality issue?

I noticed today that one of the threads next to the console had broken. I typically keep my leg in this area so I am sure that had something to do with it however I am extremely disappointed that this happened. I honestly believe that something like this should not happen in a car that cost this much. And yes this is the upgraded leather comfort seating package.

Any thoughts from others about options?

Looks like something on the other side of the leather broke / snapped and the stitch popped out as a result (in other words, I'm not sure your leg being there had anything to do with it).

Bring it up to your dealer.

I also have a few loose stitches on my Q7 steering wheel. After bring it to the dealer, they agreed to do a warranty replacement. However, it will take 4 weeks for the new steering wheel to be arrived......

I'm sure Audi would take care of this for you.

My car is in service today and just received a call saying that they will be replacing the entire console panel. It's coming from Germany so it will take 2-3 weeks to arrive. If only the dealership wasn't 2 hours away.

On the plus side ( I think) I choose a brand new Q3 top test drive. The front end and interior has been redesigned and it looks a lot like the Q7. However the build quality is night and day difference. It also rides a lot rougher. One other items...I am apparently so use to the adaptive cruise control and other features I also killed myself several times zoning out thing the car will drive itself. It's amazing how much you get use to the Q7 technology.

A friend of mine saw the outside of the Q3 and she said she could not tell the difference in looks, other than it's smaller. I tried hard not to say anything

just push it in with a pin, there's nothing tying them in the back. if you pull the rest will come off.

Replacing the entire console panel for that??? WOW!
That is not a quality issue. It's a minor imperfection. If you did couture you'd understand what happened there. The sewing thread hooks onto a very tiny amount of the leather on the other side but an acceptable amount on your side. something like this (_._._._). With a sewing thread that thick and a tolerance that small the leather can break. This is the price to pay for the looks. I guess the team responsible of checking these small imperfections missed that one.
