Default Ride Heights with Active Suspension Option

I have the option and recently have been wondering about the ride heights. While in the drive select screen on the MMI, there are 5 height levels that correspond with the selected ride setting. When I slowly scroll through them the only time the height icon changes is when I select ALL ROAD. All other selections show the same height.

From 1 as the lowest and 5 as the highest level:

all road-4
auto-3
comfort-3
dynamic-3

Shouldn't it be lower in dynamic mode? What have you guys seen?

For me, Dynamic is 2 and Auto is 3 but drops to 2 when you hit about 85mph.

mine is the same is srbsq7 except that on offroad, it goes to 5. You won't see a change if all your heights are the same.

Are you able to lower the rear using the button in the boot?

What happens when you press the drive mode button to put it in Dynamic mode with the engine running? Does the icon flash or do nothing?

Yes you can lower/raise the rear of the car. But in order for you to lower/raise the rear of the car, all of the doors have to be closed and have enough ground clearance.

If you press the dynamic button and all the doors are closed, depending on your current setting, you should see your car going up/down slowly. It will raise/lower the car half the time, meaning that it will do the front first then the rear until it reaches it's height.

I am unable to lower the rear using the buttons in the back and when I select dynamic mode, nothing changes on the air height icon. No flashing either.

Automatic mode is not changing either. It stays on position 3 and even if I bring the speed up to 85 or higher it never drops down to position 2 like it is supposed to do.

Essentially my car never sees position #2, ever.

You should probably let the dealer look at your air suspension.

Just an FYI for active suspension owners. The Q7 has been at the dealer for 9 days now. They can't yet resolve it. They have tried resets, software updates, etc. Now they are waiting for a replacement control module to arrive from Germany. Not too pleased. My first Audi. Love it but hoping this isn't a sign of things to come.

At least they gave me an almost new A4 prestige loaner to use but I really miss the room my Q7 has.
