RSE stuck on system update loop
Hi everyone, long time lurker here. I just picked up my 5th Audi, a 2017 Q7 Prestige. Love the car so far but one of the RSE's is stuck in the android-system-update-loop-of-doom.
Normally I know you can just boot into recovery and just factory reset the thing but since this is a proprietary tablet, I have no idea what button combination it uses to get into recovery mode (if any). I've tried all combinations and all it does is hard reboot. I've tried leaving it charging over night hoping it was a battery issue (one of the reasons why it would hang). I've even tried unplugging the battery with no luck.
If anyone knows a fix, I would greatly appreciate it because I have a feeling the dealer won't know (already called, waiting for their tech to call back). Thanks in advance.

Hi @Beeg and @kevin houley , I have a problem with the system software update as well for the RSE III. The installation stuck at the same progress, even after a force restart See the photo attached. Do you manage to sort out the problem? It is possible to perform a factory reset? Hope you can help.

I ended up having to take it to the dealer. They replaced it with a new one as my unit was completely bricked. At least that's what they said, the tech probably just didn't want to bother fixing it.

Hi @Beeg thanks for sharing your experience. It is good that you received a replacement unit. For my case, I bought them from Ebay and not in luck to get a replacement. Dealer here doesn't seem to bother to troubleshoot the unit too.
I managed to update another unit without problem, just this second unit is stuck in update loop. I tried searching for ways to do a reset but there is very little info available. Conventional Android reset button combinations didn't work.
