Default Run flat tire mileage?

I am considering purchase of a 2017 Q7. One of the sticking points concerns the run flat tires with no spare. I have only read about run flats and the jury is out. What kind of mileage are people getting with their run flat tires? Please indicate which brand and model you have.

Thanks
Ken K

Exactly.

The only thing I can say at this moment is that I had a nail in one of the run flat tires a couple of weeks ago. I was able to drive to the dealership without any issues. In addition, the TPMS really works!

I recently read a pretty cool article about TPMS and how it calculates the air in the tire based on how the tire rolls on the ground as opposed to putting tire sensors in each tire.

Default If you go by specs...

There are similar tires with similar wear specs. I have the 21" summers and expect to get 20-30k, which I've done with all other run flats in BMWs and MINIs. Obviously *your mileage may vary* but I bet that's what the manufacturers are shooting for as far as reasonable wear.

I had an "R" class, which also weighed 5000 pounds, and I got 50,000 miles out of those run flats. I live in Wisconsin & have to time the seasons, but 50,000 miles was hit at least 5 times.

The Benz hand Michelins and I see that my Q has good years.

I really wasn't looking forward to run flats back when the 1st set came, but have come to love them.

You'll like them.

That sounds encouraging, Wisconsin Q7. (Which model Goodyear comes with the Q7?)

Interesting. My US Prestige delivered in April came with 20 inch Pirelli run flats.
