Yeah, saw SQ8 (and RS Q8) last night. Very interesting.

Sure hope they offer it with a 2-row seating plus spare tire option instead of those useless-for-my-tall-family 3rd row seats. If so, it could sway me away from ordering a Range Rover Sport SCV8.

That's why the Q8 exists.

I doubt it will have a 2 row option. Just appreciate the third row for the last minute extra elementary school sized kids you might or might not ever have riding with you. I agree, it’s useless. Also can’t imagine the RRS to be any less reliable than my Q7, I say go for it instead! I love them.

Sorry to hear your Q7 has been unreliable. We had a 2007 Q7 that was really reliable, then went to a 2013 LR4 for better beach driving traction. It has been really reliable up until 100K miles, but cost me $7K in repairs the last 6 months and 10K miles. Leaking valve cover, new alternator, new water pump, rear view camera died, new steering rack and there is a lurking known issue with timing chain guides wearing out on the LR4 V8 engine. I want to move on before that $9K repair hits.

Something about the Q8 is ugly. Looks like someone chopped off the back and you lose all that gear and dog space with the forward sloping roof line. And I only see senior citizens driving them.

The Q8 just looks like it sits weird. And the front is shaped really strange, it looks like a Toyota Avalon. Not a good thing, IMO. My neighbor has a black Q8. Before that he had an Escalade that he got drunk and drove through our neighborhood gates. He’s almost 80.

Euro spec SQ7s are TD, marvel of an engine, some 900ft torque!!!
and they're 2 rows. I'd be very suprised if it is a 3 rows. I'll be very happy too😉!.

Cheers,
Bob
