Default Thoughts on Offer for 2019 Prestige (new)

Hi all,

First time posting. I知 in the market for a new car and am deciding primarily between a Q7 and XC90 (will also test drive the Telluride and Palisade). A dealer quoted me $60K OTD on a 2019 new Q7 Prestige (0% financing for up to 72 months which I think is standard these days). First, any thoughts on if this is a good deal? Second, are there any additional asks that I should make to close the deal? Anything relating to an extended warranty or Audi Care? Finally, I know this is a biased forum but if there are any headline reasons that you have to choose the Q7 over these other options (beyond all that I致e read on here and in various reviews) - I知 all ears.

Thank you!

A

That is a good deal, there have been some minor improvements on the 19's after 4 years in Mk 2 production. I prefer the 19 as the touch screens of the 2020 will take a while to get used and the 19 supercharged engine is well proven. I would recommend a warranty if you plan to keep the car for longer than 6 years especially if you have air suspension. I purchased a 120k 10 year warranty. Having covered over 100k in 2 Mk 2's I don't see why my current Q7 will not go to 200k with trouble free miles. I don't baby it all.

Necta79, that's a good deal and the same price I bought my 2019 Q7 Prestige just a few days back. I added Audi plan for $999 (4 years) and another $500 for dealer options like Tint etc. So was 62K OTD along with 0% APR for 60 months.

Some dealers did not offer that deal as they had only 1-2 Prestiges in the lot so less room for negotiations, but the one with 8 prestige on the lot offered me that deal.

I did not buy any extended warranties, I have not bought one for any car that I owned in the last 20 years.

How did it turn out? Seems like a good deal for the Q7, especially since the Telluride is selling for above sticker, and the Palisade is about at sticker. Depends if you need a 3rd row that is easy to access and more usable and some of the other tech in the Palisade/Telluride.
This thread might be useful too. They went with an Atlas
