when is it too old to keep your Q7
I have a Q7 2017 Premium Plus. when do most folks start thinking trading their vehicle. My Q7 has 80,700. not sure if I when do I want to dump it. I know I have breaks and tires coming up soon. when is it safe to walk away?

Your car is barely broken in.
You can get a Fidelity warranty for the cost of tax on a new car and drive yours for another four years at little cost.
You've already gotten past the worst of the depreciation curve...drive it for another 100K miles and enjoy it.
Or trade it if/when oil consumption becomes an issue.
On the other hand, if you're just bored with it, treat it to new wheels or maybe a roof mounted splitter and some KC HiLiters and roo bars and...

107K on ours. I'll be putting 35/40K on it a year so I'm hoping to get another two years out of it and then assess how it's doing. If it's going well, I'll likely use it for one of my tween/teens for their first car.
Maintenance wise I think your biggest issues are tires/brakes and a tune up every 60K.

I have two. The oldest is a 2007 Prem Plus with 140k miles and was my DD for eleven years. I worry that the next age related repair will be the one not worth doing, but my kids have cycled through driving it to high school and it has the small bumps and scratches to show it. The plastics are getting brittle, which seemed to accelerate a lot when the car was kicked out of the garage to make way for my 2018 Q7 Prestige. The 2007 Q7 has cost us less to maintain over the years than my wife's Honda minivan, but her minivan gets harder use. I am not doing the same kind of preventative maintenance on it that I would do if I needed to get another 5-7 years out of it. I need three more years and then she can go to the glue factory. There have been no major mechanical issues or gremlins that the stereotypical German car hater would point out as the reason they drive an Accord. If this car died today, it would have been a great value.

I will never get rid of my Q. When this one gets higher in mileage, I will get another used with low miles. Hopefully Audi rethinks it's choice to go all electric considering how many manufacturers are cutting production.

102k on mine. I do about 25k/yr and am hoping for another couple years. Oil consumption is rearing it's head in the last 12k or so miles. I have a list of "want to get done" items, but they aren't super urgent. $5k into this thing and I could easily see me getting another 100k out of it (5yrs on my usage rate)
