50% windshield, 20% front windows, 35% on top of back of car on top of stock tint. No problems driving at night. In fact it is barely noticeable in my opinion. Driving on bright days I even use sunglasses still. I had 70% done but got a crack in my windshield and went to 50% because you could barely notice it at 70%

Thanks. Did you do sunroof by chance? i heard people say tinting would cause it to crack. But my many pros say it won't be an issue at all. Pano sunroof is a pain during summer in TX!

Nope... But I live in the Seattle area so I'm not super worried about that. I'm just happy when it is sunny out.

I did the sunroof last fall when I got my car. Survived the hot Utah summer with intense sun without cracking - hopefully that doesn't happen in the future. I cant remember whether I ended up with 20% or 35% tint up there. I THINK it helps, but since I did it as soon as I bought the car I don't have a direct comparison to know by how much.
I also did my front windshield, I think at 70%. I agree that it is barely noticeable in appearance, but I think do think it helps with heat and even with sun intensity. I used to NEVER drive without sunglasses, but now I do no occasion, especially if not in full sun. It is technically illegal in many states (including mine) so I went with the lightest tint to get the heat protection without potentially causing a fix-it ticket, or worse.

No. It will only increase reflection. If there's any impact, it only gonna make HUD more visible.

Zero impact on HUD or reflection on mine... Quality film and installer are the two most important things when doing tint on a windshield.

I had the sunroof and the windshield tinted as well - highly recommend doing so. Like others had mentioned, windshield tint did not impact my HUD in any way. Windshield 50%, front windows and sunroof at 35%
