would you take 2017 now or 2108 for same price but wait
Title sort of says it all. I can pick up a 2017 in 2 weeks or order a 2018 for the same price (dealer invoice).
I am not in a rush so I could wait but could also do the Q7 now. I was leaning toward doing a 2018 as a newer year will probably have a higher resell value later but what are your thoughts?
The only real negative is I don't know how much more they are going to increase the price for 2018 and if they are doing any other changes to the model year.

The 2018 starts at $56,400 for the 3.0T and destination increased to $975, so in total a $925 increase to the base price. However, Prestige dropped to $9000 and luxury dropped to $5500 and cold weather includes the all weather mats, so if you get all of those, the price actually dropped by $275.

I am looking at a 2.0t prem plus with vision, DAP, and ventilated seats. I know that now includes the bose 3d system (was 1100 in 2017) and I heard the price increased only 900 so I'd end up a little ahead there if it is true.

I imagine the tech in the 2108 model would be really impressive. I would go for that one.
In all seriousness, if you aren't in a hurry, I think it is nice to have the newer model year designation. If there's some reason you want it sooner (upcoming trip, current car coming off lease) then go ahead and jump in.

If you plan to hang on to it, I would try to get one sooner rather than later, independent of the model year. You will enjoy it longer if you get it sooner.

Thanks for all the feedback. Now that I also just learned that Bose 3d is included at premium plus with no mark up, I'm going to do the 18. Just have to be patient and wait till my order arrives.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
