Default Xpel Ultimate or Xpel Stealth

Picking up my 2017 Q7 soon. First thing I will do is get a full wrap so I've made an appointment to get that done.

Still undecided between doing the Xpel Ultimate or Xpel Stealth. I really like the matte look but it also makes it stand out maybe too much.

Colour is Daytona Grey. What would you guys do?

Not one of your choices, but I just went with Suntek Ultra. 10 year warranty. Got full hood, grill surround, front bumper, all along the fender edges, rocker panels, and door handle areas for about $1200.

I know a number of PPF installers who would disagree.

My installer is one of the top 10 rated detailers in the U.S. and works on high end cars like McLaren, Lambo, Porsche, etc. He uses nothing but Xpel Ultimate for film with custom cuts on all of the pieces. I've had mine installed for almost 5 years on my A6 with no peeling or yellowing and zero rock chips.

While I'm sure there are other good films out there and less expensive than Xpel ultimate, one would be hard pressed to find one with the same self healing properties and clear coat top layer.

Funny because my installer also works on Maclarens, Lambos, 918s and a huge range of other Exotics with fully custom cuts as well. He was an Xpel shop for years and has moved away to Stek. Said the clarity in the film was better for clear, the matte was more even and the self healing properties were far superior. They were also the first with hydrophobic films (both matte and clear finish). I'm not going to get in a pissing match over it, but it is more about the installer than the film these days.

It appears that's exactly what you are doing.
