Default Interesting Discovery..............

While I was at Lime Rock yesterday I got the chance to speak with Dean Treadway. He has a beautiful Black urquat that underpressure posted a pic of in the thread "Beauteaous". Someone here said that car was a 20v conversion.
I was told by Dean yesterday that car is actually a 1990 20v European model Urquattro. He found it in Albany a couple years ago.
It now resides in his garage.
Wow.

Default I'm under the impression that 1990 was. There maybe VIN code...

...91's out there but I think the 90 is the last. Actually didn't they stop refining them when the RS2's came out? What I mean is was Audi running two sepreate lines at Audi Sport; one for the Urq and one for the RS2 at the same time?

Default That's a replacement for his previous conversion.

The white urq 20v conversion was wrecked at the Virginia City Hillclimb a couple years ago. It was just so gorgeous. Havn't seen the replacement in person, but it sounds worthy.

Default Deans white 83 has been repaired! Plus its sporting a UPG sticker!

I saw it today and yesterday at Lime Rock. Apparently, they were able to straighten the frame back to "perfect" specs. (quoting Dean himself) He, as well as the body shop, were very surprised they were able to do it. The black RR urq is in his garage, where it will stay, he said!

Default The black one made a "debut" of sorts at WG in 2001

During the ACNA nationals. It sat next to Charlie Day's '83 20-valve UrQ during registration/concours. Both gorgeous cars.
