Think about what you want to do with, I'm not in a huge hurry. If you do want to sell it, how much? What year did it come out of, and is the large seal leaking? I think we've talked before on Motorgeek, I'm usually over there but I thought I could cover more ground over here.

That's an 84-early 85 4kq 4.11:1 rear diff. I spent several emails back and forth with the seller trying to convince him of that when the diff was listed before. He was adamant that it was from a late 4k/80/90, even though it had the cast mounting ears. It looks like he has corrected that.

Linked is another auction for the same part number from the same seller. I bought a v8q rear diff advertised as a 92-94 A8 rear diff from them, so they're good sellers, and you'll get your diff, just not good advertisers.

I hope you get an UrQ rear diff, but that part number is 857 500 040 C, not D. I wish I had seen this post sooner...
