Rally car surgery
I took the cam cover off the rally car today in preparation for the switch to the SQ cam cover. Everything looks normal no problems. It does seem like the 200 cam cover on the car now does not have a vent, there is a bolt plug in the back where the vent should be. There is a vent line from the block to a one way valve that dumps into a spot before the turbo intake, I'm going to splice into that line with the new cam cover vent. I'll post photos later..
The gasket will be here tomorrow and it shouldn't be a problem getting it all fitted. The cams appear to be stock audi parts and the cams are chained (not geared) so the head is for the most part 3b.
Its 125 degrees in my garage!! Whew.. dripping sweat here.

I'm going to try my hand on them in September.
I think work will cool down enough for me to attempt fab. I will be going to a track event in October, so if anything I will have to do the fender cut by then. On very hard cornering, the rear tires just touch the fender.
