Re: HELP, I REALLY want to resolve this on going feud......
Here's the issue: I claim were pushing 345-375hp (22.7-25.6psi) ShortyQ (Scott QshipQ) says impossible 320hp max!
So I went to "his" online calculator's a lot of them! And the average I got was 315hp at the wheels. Figure in 15% for drivetrain loss that's around 360hp at the crank. (3600lbs 13.13ET@103.6mph) Then I figured in Javad's 80TQ with the info posted on the website Wheel HP 256
est. weight 3000 I got almost exactly his run at Dubwars 13.2@103. Am I in err here? Please try and let me know what you come up with, so we can bury this once and for all!!! Thanx

The url didn't work but I'm guessing your pointing out....
that the fact in a replie to RE:Start back pedaling, while I go get my boots. You pointed out we were both saying the same thing.
And if it wasn't for your post I wouldn't have had tested those calculator's So thank you very much (I was going to add that today believe it or not)
The feud is is over the fact that Scott believes the 315 is crank HP not Wheel HP.
That why he is comparing our car to the RS2, because it had 315 crank HP.
Thanks again (very much too!)

Where are you guys from, VT? Looks like the whole family it into "oldskewl"?......
I took a look into your picture poster and it looks like there are several cars you guys are working on. Care to share the details on your projects? I'd love to hear about them.

Not VT right next door NH
1990 Coupe 3b conversion in super slow motion.
1983 TQC S4 conversion in just regular slow motion.
1989 VW cabby (MYKNFX)audi 80 2.slow engine swap w/knock sensing ignition,
1987 5kqt (TOXCHP) sedan in search of my brother's budget.
1987 5kqt (EVILWGN) in search of traction.
1993 Audi 90 (FWD) in search of new owner.
Sorry about that, I was getting depressed towards the end.

Re: HELP, I REALLY want to resolve this on going feud......
There's no feud, there's only physics Myke.
I'd also suggest we all need to look at how audi gives/documents HP vs the formulas for RWHP in the track setting OR the dyno setting. I'm not at all convinced that audi speak "crank" HP. If you believe those formulas, then go to C&D or R&T and plug in the audi "claimed" HP vs the quarter mile. It "appears" to indicate that audi claims RWHP on turbo cars anyhow, not crank HP. I'd think any turbo car would need to have the IC and other mods "in sitsu" to make any claim of HP. Or turbo cars conveniently mess up dynos?
I don't feud Toxcheap. I only enjoy numbers as documented. As such, it would appear you have 316rwhp coming on a dyno run with the mods as in Waterfest 2003. All other numbers are best guesses. Since we can't at all measure them at the crank, I only quote RWHP. Hence my claim that ~300hp is the max on a stock 5ktq CIS fuel system

So now you agree the wagon has 320@wheels and 375@crank?
That's funny you were talking wheel horse power and I was talking crank horse power. Problem with that is in many of my post I even mentioned the percentage I was using to figure drivetrain loss. Guess it doesn't matter now it's just water under the bridge. Since we both agree you can get 375(CRANK)HP out of CIS
Sorry for all the confusion
