Silver 84 forale in CT....anyone have the link.
anyone have any info on the car. I want to go look at it soon. Im looking for an older car or one with more miles to replace my current one.
I want to build a fast street car that I can do track event in and I cant justify doing it in my car since it runs soo well and only has 50k.

Hmmmm, Justification. (long)
Don't know the car, but I've got my silver '83 up here in CT ( hint -hint. J/K!)Anyway , you've brought something to my attention I never had the opportunity to talk about with some of the guys I met at NEA @ the Big E. Trying to justify the proper "use" of a UrQ. Track v. Preservation ?-I've asked myself that a few times ( twice the mileage + an extra 10 or so thousand miles give or take.)I'm stuck at weather to do one or the other...on one side I like the styling, the stance and its signifigance for what it is--so I say Preserve, but THEN I figure its got 112,000 miles , it runs good, Let's just bounce it around the track...--so then I say track it. So I know I can't have the best of both worlds, but when does justification begin? 'tis a fine line isn't it?

IMO, you don't have to modify it to have fun in it...
Tracking the car once and a while won't make it disintegrate, as long as you don't rag it to death. Simple maintenance can prevent major mishap. Enjoy the car for what it was meant...driving. Granted it is a rally designed car, but you get my drift(pun intended).

I wouldn't tear up an '85...
they have the potential to _maybe_ be collectable.
My '83 has an MC motor and is going to lose the interior this winter. Carpets, door panels, seats, etc. It's getting a cage w/in 12 months and will be track only at that point.
It may be rare #'s wise, but I got it to track in all weather and have fun. Yeah, coulda gotten a Camaro for less, that goes faster, etc. But I'd have to hang it up in the rain, and I didn't want to do it. So the '83 was good. Wish I had gotten a better one (hidden problems once I bought it) but it's doing well now.
