Default Dunno, but he did give an answer to the different headlights question.

<i>Q: Why are there 2 different headlight assemblies?
26-Jan-07
A: When the current owner, bought the car from the original owner in 1988, the car had Euro high intensity headlight assemblies installed in the car. Not long after, one of the Euro head lamp assy. went bad, so the owner put an OEM headlight in, and never changed out the other Euro headlamp assy. The owner has the other OEM headlamp assy that is included with the auction, but has not installed it. Happy Bidding!

</i>

But it seems odd that for the last 15+yrs it'd have differen headlights. Wonder what other maintenance he skimped on.<ul><li><a href="http://contact.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ShowAllQuestions&amp;requested=aucti onsforyou3&amp;iid=180077979259&amp;frm=284&amp;re direct=0&amp;ShowASQAlways=1&amp;SSPageName=PageAs kSellerQuestion_VI">http://contact.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.d

Also told me the handbrake was disconnected, never any pictures of the dash, we'll see if the new owner pops up on the forums. The "European headlights burnt out?" Yeah right, makes sense; change the whole headlight unit instead of a bulb...Sure. Only way that could be true if they were HID. Didn't know they put HID lights on the UrQ in 1983...

Default I suppose it is possible, if the bulb exploded that it burned the inside of the lens

And he didn't know how to clean/repair it? More likely it broke in a fender bender.

Default My guess is that it got broken, also prompting the paint job.

This _could_ be a very nice car, but the "seller" sure doesn't make any attempt to give any more information than absolutely necessary. Having two different headlights and no real interior or engine pictures makes me think that they are trying to hide something, and/or just don't care. Considering that the color is not original, I wonder how good of a paint job they did, especially under the hood, in the trunk, etc.

That one is definitely a car that I would have had checked out in person before bidding more than $5k or so.

That was my response too. Can't believe that car made 9,999 and the previous red one from the East Coast stuck at $6k... Something doesn't smell right.
