Am I on crack or something?

I had the same problem
I put ads everywhere trying to sell my 03 A4. Only one call in 6 months and then they never showed to look at the car. I could not unload the car so I traded it. The process of trying to sell it really bummed me out. I missed out on my Fcar because I could not get it sold in time.

Sold 2 cars on CL last year...
but it seems that people there are looking for a deal, e.g. euro cars under $11K or American cars under $5K.
I see lots of Audis sit on CL in the high teens or over $20K. They seem to be priced right, but as others pointed out lots of folks these days are broke and can't afford a newer used car unless it comes with great financing. These are the folks that are sold on the monthly payment tactic, so it can be hard to convince them that your 4 year old car is a better deal than a brand new car for a similar monthly.
Good luck all the same. I think good pictures can make a difference. Also try RMCB5, Audizine and other leads for VAG fans. Too bad the local ACNA site doesn't have a classifieds section.

Audi's resale is terrible. Couple that with the low lease prices on new
cars and selling a used car is hard. I've sold two cars in a 6 week period. It took several months to sell my '01 S4 Avant, but it sold from the ad on Audizine. The allroad sold almost immediately from the ad on Craigslist. I have a buyer who wants the Porsche, but I'm not selling it.
I'm in the market for a winter car, like an A4, but I don't really want to spend more than $9-10k. Plus there are always people dumping a good car for a great price if a buyer is willing to wait. Case in point is a '99.5 A4 1.8Tq Avant with sport, winter and convenience packages for $6500. Car had 84k miles, totally stock and just needed a clutch.
When I see stuff like that, I'm totally unwilling to spend $10k for basically the same car unless it's pristine...

Looks like this is your CL posting... some friendly advice :)
"Great condition!
Current on expensive maintenance and head of schedule on the timing belt!
Silver on black with the premium package, sport package, and GPS navigation!"
Good start.
No need to remind folks that euros are often expensive to maintain. Might use something like "Current on all maintenance and have extensive records. Timing belt recently replaced."
You might also expand on the GPS nav which is an expensive option. More details in general is a good thing. Include all of the specs that you can get your hands on. For one thing it makes you look like a nut for details, and I prefer buying used cars from those types. That is except for when the car is way below book as in the example Doc provides.
If you are feeling lazy, just copy http://denver.craigslist.org/car/166136291.html with better price and pics. Feel free to point out that your's is selling for $$$ less than this one and KBB, etc. "This is a hot deal and won't last long..."
Lastly I would have some more interesting pics and some of the interior. After all, Audis do have the best looking interiors in the car biz.<ul><li><a href="http://denver.craigslist.org/car/167002791.html">http://denver.craigslist.org/car/167002791.html</a</li></ul>
