Default Interesting -- they are damned pricey for crap wheels...

Just got off the phone with an HRE sales guy. Quoted me $5700 for a set of four 18x8's with no real upgrades. Screw that. I'll stick with my SSRs and OZ (or BBS?) which are quite competent at high speeds in my non-racing experience. Guess those HREs are for trailer queens huh?

What about IForged? The Wheels Boutique sales dude said their customer service sucks big time. Says he warns everyone to stay away from them and go with HRE.

Also interested in the forged SL clone by OZ -- the Forgiata. Anyone have any experience with these? Like 16lbs at 18x8.5 which is the only size with Audi fit.

So you're gonna spend a fortune for a set of wheels that'll sit in the basement? :-)

Default iforged can be just as bad..

as long as you don't mind dealing with their very sub par customer service.

Default Many people think that just because they're expensive HRE wheels are good when in truth...

you're paying out the butt-hole for wheels that are of considerably lower quality than even OZ Superleggeras

Default That's what WB said...

So what are the forged alternatives for B5 S4s? Sounds like BBS forged or OZ Forgiatas? At least with those you can buy them from Tire Rack which has good customer service...

Default Ha ha...

Actually sold all of my spare B5 Avus and a few other sets so I'm down to two sets of wheels in the basement and your OZ in the garage.

Anyone looking for a clean set of B6 18x8 Avus let me know...

I thought if I found some light forged wheels that I liked I'd sell a set or two of the SSRs. They seem very popular with B5 S4 drag racers. Hap sold two sets in like a day or two for $$$

Default BBS.. hands down..

though forged BBS wheels are made in Japan..

cast are made in Germany...

if that matters to you, to me BBS LM's are one of the sickest wheels you can get..
