I would like to plan a drive, much like the one that seemed to be a nice successs last year. I am thinking drive mt. evans, group lunch afterwards either back here in Denver, perhaps in Morrison, Idaho Springs, or otherwise.

anyone interested, and if so, lets try and get a consensous of good dates for the majority and dining options. also, route ideas and time alotted would be appreciated. I am hoping to get this drive in the works for the end of this month, perhaps 1st weekend in Aug.

Cold and Rainy..but fun in the Touareg. Watch out as the road is pretty messed up b/c of Permafrost before Echo lake. Again fun in the VW..think we almost got air

so denvernoob and i decided we're gonna try to combine this thread and mine so here's all the mt. evan's info. planning on everyone meeting between 9:45 and 10:15 at the Bergen Park ( Evergreen ) Radio Shack/ Nick N *****'s Pizza parking lot and then we'll cruise over from there up the mountain at the top we'll hang out for a while take some pictures and chatthen we'll go down into Idaho Springs to Beau Jo's Pizza where we'll all eat lunch or go our seperate ways from there. If that sounds like a plan then i hope to see you there. Here's the address for the location we're gonna meet at so you guys can mapquest it:
