SO the wife and I went for a long drive on Sunday, we left about Noon and got back a little after 6. Great route, lots of places to really open up and let the car run, not a lot of traffic.

We took I-25 to Cheyenne, then I-80 west to Laramie, from Laramie we took Wyo. 230 SW towards Colo.. to where it meets with Co 127/125 N. of Walden. Then 125 So. over Willow Creek Pass to US 40. Then 40 back to I-70 then home. Never saw a cop in Wyo., once we got back into Co. several times saw a cop car with no around, the only one who even gave us a glance was a deputy in Walden, I think it was more the Euro plate that got his attention.

When we were starting up Berthoud, we encountered a bunch people stopping to check out some wildlife. Turns out there was a Moose and two calves. Some idiots were crossing down into the marsh where they were at to take pics. Unfortunately, I only had my small digital, so I don't know how the pics turned out.

Otherwise it was a cool route for a drive, we left with 3/4 tank of gas, almost made it back. At the summit of Berthoud the DTE hit empty, we coasted into Downieville, 18.6 gallons in an 18.5 tank. About 400 miles round trip.
